Cooking French Toast
A perfect way to warm children up on a cold snowy day is with fresh baked french toast for morning snack. With dozens of eggs and loaves of baguettes, we pulled out our Hawaiian patterned aprons and got cracking.
Children had the opportunity to measure the ingredients, crack the eggs, pour the liquids, stir and mix with a hand cranked beater. They used a bread knife to cut the loaves with the teacher, and used tongs to dip the bread in the batter. The teacher then fried the bread, and baked it in the oven for a perfect morning snack.
